Whispering Oaks is a female-led production company rooted in relational storytelling, fiercely uncompromising, politically engaged narratives. We are drawn to stories that show us transitional paths toward pluralist futures: narratives that hold complexity, honour multiple ways of knowing, and point toward new worlds being born with the flourishing of all life at their core.

 

We work at the intersection of fiction and documentary, building immersive, authentic work that reaches audiences across the world. Our films have been supported by the Sundance Institute, Chicken & Egg Pictures, Women in Film, Berlinale Talents, Hot Docs Cross Currents, SFFilm, MEDIA Europe, and the International Documentary Association, and have premiered at festivals including Sundance, Hot Docs, CPH:DOX, and Sheffield DocFest, with distribution on Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Max.

 

In this age of paradigm shift, as the old systems collapse around us, we choose stories that inspire action. Stories that show us how to be in right relation with each other and the more-than-human world. Stories that hold the weight of what is ending and the possibility of what is emerging.
