Emergent Systems

Emergent Systems is an immersive installation exploring the interdependence and intelligence of natural systems, and the ways in which colonial-scientific mindsets have severed our capacity to perceive ourselves as part of that web. Through sculptural forms made from reclaimed materials, projected moving images, and a poetic voiceover, the work meditates on emergence, trust, and remembering — inviting viewers to slow down and attune to the unseen forces of aliveness that shape all forms of being.

The accompanying art film weaves together footage of emergent systems in nature with layered sound and spoken incantations that question dominant narratives of control and separation. Rather than offering answers, Emergent Systems invites a state of listening — a co-creative encounter between viewer, material, and environment, where the boundaries between human and non-human, individual and collective, begin to dissolve.
